Solitary Bee Box

Here's a few pictures of the solitary bee box and what it will look like when it's getting used. The first picture is of a bee in one of the holes. The second is what it looks like when the bees are done.  Notice that some of the holes are closed off, those are the ones being used as egg chambers.

    Unrelated comment: I thought last season was the last year that we would use that loosely packed pine straw underneath our trees. These areas now are at least a one stroke penalty area and even worse when you cannot find your ball in the straw. This pine straw does not compact for at least six to eight weeks. Can't we find a different substance to use in this area or possibly nothing?
